2006 VCU Reading First Teacher Reading Academies

The School of Education at Virginia Commonwealth University will be hosting Teacher Reading Academies. These academies continue the professional development opportunities provided by Virginia as part of the Reading First grant.

When: June 26-29, 2006
        
 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Where: Meadowbrook High School, 4901 Cogbill Rd. Richmond, VA 23234
School's website
NOTE: A continental breakfast, boxed lunch, and afternoon snack will be served.

Who: Administrators, K-3 classroom teachers, K-3 ESL and special education teachers, and Title I teachers
NOTE: Please bring one of your teacher's editions for your basal reading series.

All participants must bring Teacher Editions for the following:
**Reading
**Social Studies
**Science

Registration: Teachers at Reading First schools can register beginning 9 a.m. on April 3, 2006. Starting April 24, 2006, registration opens up for all K-3 teachers. For any questions regarding registration, please contact Valerie Robnolt.

REGISTRATION IS ONLY OPEN TO TEACHERS AT READING FIRST SCHOOLS ON APRIL 3RD, 2006. OTHER TEACHERS CAN ONLY APPLY AFTER APRIL 24TH,2006.
