New intern/student teaching orientation
The spring 2017 new intern/student teaching orientation will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2017, in the Huguenot High School auditorium, starting at 5 p.m. Directions to Huguenot High School, which is located at 7945 Forest Hill Ave. in Richmond, can be found on Google Maps.
Spring 2017 intern/student teaching dates start Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 and runs until May 5, 2017.
Deadline to submit intern/student teaching application for fall 2017 is Feb. 1, 2017. Students must submit the following with completed application: Praxis II score report, VCLA, TB test results. Applications are located at our student forms page.
Effective July 1, 2013, an individual submitting an initial application for a license or a licensure renewal request must submit official documentation providing evidence of the completion of certification or training in emergency first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of automated external defibrillators.
Praxis II information
Students applying for the graduate teaching internship must submit passing Praxis II scores with their application; review the Virginia Department of Education’s assessment requirements [PDF] for information.

Meritorious New Teacher Candidate designation
Teaching candidates that qualify for the Meritorious New Teacher Candidate designation should complete the MNTC application form and submit it to the Dean’s Office in Oliver Hall, Room 2090.
GRE general test
Information about the GRE general test, including how to register, test dates, test sites and practice test to help you prepare, can be found on the Educational Testing Service website. To report your scores to VCU, use the institution code: #R5570.
