- Research Interests
- My research interest focuses on ESL/international students’ academic socialization issues that include relationships with peers and teachers, group work, institutional support and access to academic resources. The non-discursive aspects of academic activities and their impact on students’ academic success are the areas that have often been neglected or overlooked but extremely important especially for (language) minority students’ academic success. Other topics of my interest are secondary school ESL students’ mainstreaming process and bilingual ESL/FL teacher education.
