- My most recent research involvement focused on the use of a value-added assessment model to contribute to validation of schools and school districts in Wisconsin in terms of the adequate yearly progress (AYP) stipulations contained in the No Child Left Behind (NCLB, 2001) legislation. The intention of the research was to provide a basis for delivering appropriate in-service for teachers whose classes were identified as not maintaining a rate of progress commensurate with the other classes in the school or school district. My enduring interest is in researching and refining ways of improving the quality of supervision of instruction and personnel development in schools and school districts.
