Dr. Conroy’s primary interests are in the area of early intervention for young children with autism spectrum disorders or emotional/behavioral disorders. Her specific research interests include functional assessment and analysis of behavioral problems, assessment and intervention of social skills, and antecedent intervention research. Currently, Dr. Conroy is the principal investigator of a grant from the National Institute of Health investigating functions of prosocial behavior in young children with autism. Additionally, she is a co-investigator on a multi-state research project investigating evidenced-based practices for young children with challenging behaviors funded by the US Department of Education. Finally, Dr. Conroy is actively involved in a number of personnel preparation activities in the fields of early intervention, emotional/behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
