- Research Interests
- As a former teacher administrator, and director of accreditation at the Virginia Department of Education, I am excited to be on the faculty of VCU's School of Education, where I received my Ph.D. in 1999. I have researched the development of federal education law and policy, characteristics of high-performing high-poverty schools and characteristics of schools rated Accredited with warning under Virginia's accountability system. My research interests continue to focus on the development of federal and state education law and policy, particularly by the development and implementation of the accountability components of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001.
