Educational Leadership

The mission of the Department of Educational Leadership is to prepare school leaders who are able to translate authentic research on school leadership and society into quality practice.

Our programs, offered at the doctoral, master’s and post-master’s certificate level, address real-world problems that you’ll encounter in the fields of education and leadership, meaning you’ll come away with the skills and confidence needed to manage and influence educational organizations. Find an educational leadership program that suits you.

Along the way, you’ll be learning with (and working alongside) a faculty and staff that is second to none. Internationally-renowned and recognized as leaders in research, pedogogy and practice, our team provides the guidance and support you need to fully explore your areas of interest. Reveal, advocate, connect

At the Department of Educational Leadership, our motto is reveal, advocate, connect. We believe a well-rounded education should:

  • Reveal new understandings related to education and society, and translate that knowledge into practice
  • Advocate for inclusive, equitable and safe learning environments
  • Connect those who study educational leadership with practitioners and policy makers

But those three words are more than just a motto to us — here are a few ways our faculty, staff and students are putting those tenets to use every day.
