Adult Education & Human Resource Development - CURRENTLY SUSPENDED
Dr. Teresa J. Carter, Track Coordinator •
Adult Education and Human Resource Development students study leadership, program planning and management, human resource development, adult development, change and intervention processes, and organizational strategies. Students learn to view the field as a dynamic, national/international entity that is sensitive to societal and economic changes. All admissions to this Track are currently suspended.

Educational Leadership

The Educational Leadership Track provides students with an understanding of instruction, policy, school administration, business, and school law with a focus on assisting them in understanding the complex nature of schooling and administering schools.

Instructional Leadership

The Instructional Leadership Track has a primary focus on the interactive nature of curriculum and instruction. Students study educational policy, theories and models of instruction, issues and strategies for staff development, and change theory as it relates to schools. Teaching and learning for diverse populations is a theme throughout the track.

Special Education and Disability Leadership

Designed primarily for individuals employed in leadership positions in the field of special education, emphasis in this track is placed on developing in-depth knowledge about topics as they pertain to personnel development, research, issues and policies in special education

Research and Evaluation

The Research and Evaluation Track is designed primarily for individuals with responsibility for conducting research and evaluation projects in and for agencies and educational organizations. Emphasis is placed on developing proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative methods of inquiry, providing students with a breadth of methods to study varied educational and social research questions. Students may select a concentration in either research or evaluation.

Urban Services Leadership Track course selection is determined by the specific needs of the student for career-relevant skills and knowledge. Course selection is made in consultation with the advisor and approved by the program director.
