2. Now participate in your own Internet Inquiry Unit. Follow the steps listed below. Be sure to write down everything you learn as you will use this information to create a web site in the next lesson.

            a. Using the your state's curriculum standards as a guide,
choose a topic you are interested in exploring.
            b. Create a list of exploration questions related to the topic.
            c. Choose one exploration question from your list of questions
                to explore.
            d. Conduct an inquiry hunt on the Internet looking for web sites
with information that directly relates to your exploration
question. Complete a search for your topic on a variety of
search engines (Yahoo, Google, Ask Jeeves). Try to find a
combination of web sites -some at your students' reading
level and some more sophisticated, at your reading level
(depending upon the grade level you teach). Make a list of the
URLs you visit and gather information from. Using the
information found on these sites, write a brief answer to
your inquiry question (should be approximately one
                paragraph).
            e.  View several of the literature web sites in the folder below
and find at least four books that you could use with your
students to support your area of inquiry. Write down the title
and author of each selection, along with a brief summary of
                 the book.

3. Create a Power Point presentation highlighting your new knowledge of your inquiry topic. Include the following information in the presentation:

     a. Your name
     b. The inquiry question
