These Modules, developed by Drs. Richardson, Fox, Karchmer & Sarkozi in conjunction with Richmond City Schools, are the product of a Great Cities Universities (GCU) grant in 2002-2003.

This project presents seven modules in each area of elementary and secondary instruction. They are designed to help urban teachers with specific issues related to an urban setting.

Modules 1, 6, and 7 in each area contain general curriculum and content for k-12 urban teachers. Model One is an overview of Urban education for the elementary and Secondary modules. Module 6  focuses on using the Internet to support your students' learning and Module 7 focuses on using computer software to support your students' learning. Since this is a broad area of study, this module will concentrate on examining guidelines for choosing software to meet your curriculum and students' needs.

Modules 2 through 5 in the elementary module area focuses on technology and curriculum development for elementary teachers

Modules 2- 5 in the secondary module area focuses on technology and content area reading instruction for secondary teachers.  More about Modules
