ARRANGING THE CLASSROOM ENVIRONMENT FOR EFFECTIVE USE OF TECHNOLOGY

OBJECTIVES:  Through completion of this module, the learner will:

a.       discuss the three formats in which elementary students access computers at school

b.       describe and plan a computer station in their classroom

APPROXIMATE TIME REQUIRED FOR COMPLETING ACTIVITIES IN THIS MODULE: 
4 days

Instructions:

1.       Review the PowerPoint presentation for Module 5. 

2.       Visit the web-sites suggested on the final slides of Module 5 to learn more about technology in the classroom.

3.        Identify a partner in your class to work with on Activities 1, 2, and 3 as suggested in the Activity file for Module 5. 

4.       Participate in a threaded discussion with your classmates about ways the teachers in your field experiences use technology in their classrooms.
