Introduction to Module 4

COMMUNICATING WITH FAMILIES

OBJECTIVES:  Through completion of this module, the learner will:

a.         identify and explain means of one- and two-way communications with families

b.         practice using technology tools (e.g., web-sites, e-mail) to communicate classroom activities and concerns to families

APPROXIMATE TIME REQUIRED FOR REVIEWING MODULE IS:  30 minutes

APPROXIMATE TIME REQUIRED FOR COMPLETING MODULE ACTIVITIES:  5 hours

DIRECTIONS FOR COMPLETING THIS MODULE:

1.         Identify a partner in your class.

2.         With your partner, review the PowerPoint presentation for Module 4

3.         Review all items included in the resource file for Module 4

4.         Complete the activities for Module 4 as assigned by your instructor

5.         As you complete each activity, share your work with your partner, asking for constructive feedback on the activity’s usability in your future classroom.
